Thunderbird warning - unresponsive script

Upon fresh boot of my WindowsXP Pro computer (2GB RAM), when I start up Thunderbird, I get the message "Warning: Unresponsive script" with the following details: "A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding. You can stop the script now, or you can continue to see if the script will complete. Script: resource:///modules/iteratorUtils.jsm:117."

I am running Thunderbird V. 10.0.2, and the program will not start until I deal with that error message. The response "Continue" lets Thunderbird finish loading and display all normal functions and e-mails, ready for use. There are no apparent ill effects from the message.

What's going on, and what, if anything, can I do about it? It may be that I just have too many stored e-mails and the script being processed on loading may just time out before it finishes processing all the list of e-mails.

Thanks for any help with this issue.
