Unified folders don't work anymore?

I have three email accounts that all appear under inbox, sent and drafts.

Previously if I selected the inbox (or sent or draft) I would see all of the relevant messages for the combined accounts. If I then clicked on the account I would only see the relevant messages for the respective account.

This doesn't work now ...clicking on the main (ie inbox) folder doesn't show anything. There is no combined view.
