Want bigger inbox email header font for Thunderbird 3 Mac

How to make Thunderbird 3 Mac's email headers (title) in inbox font look bigger? I just can zoom in and out the message body. But cannot do anything for setting bigger font for email headers in inbox pane. Is it not possible to do so?

I m using a 21" and the font now is too tiny to be read.

  • I found a link suggesting this code in the userChrome.css file, but it has no effect (mac):

    /* Change Message List Fonts */
    #threadTree treechildren::-moz-tree-row {
    font-family: Lucida Grande, Verdana, Arial, Calibri !important;
    font-size: 24pt !important;
    }

    Would love to get this to work!

    OK I did get it to work (running mac with tbird 3.0.4), with this code in my userChrome.css:

    /* Change Message List Fonts */
    /* #threadTree */ treechildren:-moz-tree-cell-text {
    font-family: Lucida Grande, Verdana, Arial, Calibri !important;
    font-size: 26pt !important;
    }

    /* and adjust row height */
    /* #threadTree */ treechildren:-moz-tree-row {
    height: 40px !important;
    }

    To get the big font for ONLY the message list, remove the /* and */ bracketing the "#threadtree" phrase; as is, this code make big fonts for both the message list and the folder list
