I tried and tried again. About every 2 weeks I will suddenly receive my emails from the past.
are you also retrieving email via your mobile device or another computer?
if so try quitting out of the email client on the other mobile devices or computers and see if that helps

No other computers, nor programs, nor device was or is trying to connect. The only thing trying to connect is the Thunderbird. And NOT from a mobile device either!!!
If someone has a good answer for this PLEASE do.
For me, the problem only started after the Thunderbird Update. However, after the problem, I went back to the old version; The problem was NOT fixed by this either.
I guess we're on our own, huh?
I have the same problem all of a sudden. I can send emails no problem but when i try to get my new messages i always get

called charter, zero help as usual.
I can log into my charter account and read messages, and i can check the other 4 charter email accounts i also have.

The Verizon Droid X email setting was the problem. As soon as I removed the account from the phone settings.... boom, email starts coming in.
Any solutions to this problem?
