After gold status points

So, after achieving gold I have seen it said that one can earn "bonus points, freebie rewards, free sweeps entries and access to exclusive rewards" from competing in the "challenges" provided, but I have yet to really see any of these besides the ones that can be entered for some special prize. Since I have had gold I have been completing numerous activities for "status", in a vain hope that there is some secondary counter that unlocks some exclusive rewards or bonus points, but nothing different seems to be happening. My question here is, do activities that merely state they add "status" actually have any effect after gold, or does the activity have to say "free points/stuff" to obtain something special? If after gold status does indeed have zero effect as it seems, what specific activities have there been, or are currently available that offer such coveted prizes as "bonus points" or "freebie rewards". I don't really care for any of sweepstake type stuff that seems to be inundating the social media board, and would like to see if there are any offers for special prizes that don't require a one in a million chance to win. On another note I have very occasionally seen free ftd.com/shutterfly cupons, but nothing really special that is linked to having earned gold (besides of course the usless offers it gives you once you achieve a new rank). The ever ambiguous "what's next" link under the status bar, has yet to actually tell me what there is next, besides what there was before.  So, is there really anything special for gold besides the small extra catalogue?

I find it odd that 5 days after writing this post I received an email about a new change to MCR, where one can potentially lose their rank if they don't participate in status earning activities at least once every 30 days. Seeing as how no coke representatives have been willing to broach the subject of how status was apparently useless after gold, I am lead to believe that my question has possibly sparked these distasteful changes. As I have been a loyal customer over many years even prior to the new more "sociable" MCR, I have noticed that the program has started to not only severely decline in its offerings, but also increase in the limits placed on the users. From the switchover to the new site where the prizes have appeared to diminish in value, and the barrier between rewards based on status, to the decrease in the points that can be put in from 120 to 100 to now 75, I have seen nothing really trying to encourage me to keep entering codes, and promoting Coke on social media. This current change come as even more of an insult in that instead of rewarding people who already have gold for completing status activities (by say actually giving them bonus points or unlocking more exclusive rewards or coupons, which in my opinion would provide more of an incentive for completing status activities that promote Coke across the social medias), it becomes a required monthly task in order to keep the status level they earned. Also, it doesn't encourage someone to complete more than one activity a month (since that would be all thats required now), unlike how special rewards would. I'm aware of how all of these changes have been towards spending less money, and being more focused on promoting Coke on social media, but it would be nice if MCR actually did what it was supposed to (and in my opinion did better years ago) and rewarded the loyal customers who have supported Coke for so long. I realize that changes like that probably won't happen, and how most likely no one will even take the time to read this wall of text (and if so probably not give me and earnest response), but I will stay hopeful that MCR will get better.

Surprise me.

Hi Ian,

We are sorry for any disappointment regarding this policy. We actively evaluate our policies and program changes to ensure the continued sustainability of the program. They will allow us to continue to offer our members the rewards and sweepstakes you have come to love.

We will be sure to share your comments with the team and hope you will continue interacting with the site as exciting new activities are added.
Thank you for your feedback.
