digital alarm clock lights not working properly

I received my digital alarm clock in the mail today. I hooked it up and if anyone knows about the clock the first and second number on the bottom of the number will not light up. The numbers are like in digital type blocks and its the bottom blocks are notbeing lit up so am i stuck with something that doesnt work or how do i go about getting it replaced
