problem with hotel gift card

I used my points to buy a Hotel gift card. I used the search feature to look for hotels. When I found the one I wanted to use, I loged in with the code from my rewards. I was only offered 3 hotels in the area, when at first I had over 10 options. None of the hotels now are even within 10 miles of where I want to be. I would not have used my points to get the card based on the hotels offered. I would like to return this.....and found this very misleading!

Hi Christine, you can give us a call regarding this. Please call 866-674-2653 anytime 9am-7pm EST Monday through Friday to reach an agent directly. Select your language, press 1 to ‘find out how MCR works’, and 0 to reach an agent.

absolutely.  My inabiliity to create an account, and then upon the preview of the site learning the very same thing... I see 2 hotels in the area I wanted to visit, but yet upon attempting to make a reservation I am only shown 2 hotels that aren't even a short taxi ride from where I want to be.  THIS is the reason I will NOT be purchasing the card.  It's the biggest load of crap I've seen... For the record I spent half an hour trying a variety of check in dates from now until next summer.  Each time the hotel list changed but never offering me either of the ones in the area that I found on their search screen.  Ridiculous.
