Disable in app purchases

I want to disable the in app purchases as my daughter has unknowingly been spending her birthday money on jewels in this app. Seeing as children will be playing this game unsupervised,it's a sneaky way of taking money from them and their parents.how do I stop this?

  • Hi Dhayu Savitri,

you can't disable in app purchases in the game, unfortunately. But, you can stop your daughter to buy jewels if you change the iTunes password (I assume she knows the current one) which is necessary for buying stuff in the game.

  • Hi dhayu,
You can actually disable/restrict In-app purchases in the Parental Controls of your device. I'm not sure if you're using an iPad or iPhone but the instructions should be similar enough. Keep in mind your device will 1st ask you to set up a 4 digit Restriction Code. Then you'll actually turn off the In-App Purchase setting. As long as you ensure not to give your daughter the Restriction Code that should prevent her from being able to turn the ability to purchase back on without permission.

First, you need to open the iPad/iPhone settings. These are accessed by touching the icon that looks like gears. Once in the settings, choose General settings from the menu on the left and scroll down until you see Restrictions on the right. This will take you to the screen allowing you to turn on parental restrictions and turn off in-app purchases.

I hope this information helps you out. As it's always important to provide kids with rules plus safeguards when their being allowed the responsibility of doing things independently. You're the only parent they have. (NanobitID-TheHoss)
