Not earning coins fast enough (anymore?)

Hi Nanobit and players,

Can anyone confirm if we need more and more tables and chairs as we progress in order to earn more coins?

From start of game until now - and I'm at level 22 - I've always just had 4 tables, and for the last few days I realised I'm no longer earning decent coins in the hours when I'm asleep. I'm sure that a week ago, there was a day when I went to bed and when I woke up I had much fewer dishes and over 11000 coins (I can't remember how much I had when I went to bed, but it must have been in the low thousands). That big drop in dishes and big increase in coins is what I'd think is normal for 6-8 hours of not checking in on the game during sleep, and I have been counting on that to repeat so I have more coins to work with the next day.

Now, however, I go to bed with 4 or 5 thousand coins and counters full of food, and wake up to only about 8 thousand coins and counters still full, but just slightly lesser dish-count. Is it because I need more tables and chairs? I'm reluctant to spend on furniture (or even to expand into areas) when I'm always broke and need the coins to plant in order to cook more to fulfil takeouts.

Below is a screenshot of how far (or not, haha) I've progressed in the game. See how full the counters are, and this was just after I woke up, and no, it's not because I have thousands of dishes. For most of them, I had only 100+ dishes when I went to bed, and I'm surprised even a counter if 100+ dishes didn't sell out over 6-8 hours.

Can players please tell me of their coin-earning experience, or Nanobit clarify how best to increase coin-earning speed? Thanks.

  • I wonder also if this is related to the fact that the game sometimes stops bringing in customers. Players are used to it - I see another thread where one player advises another player to just close and reopen the game, and the matter will be resolved. While a primitive fix is workable, the no-customer bug should still be fixed.

  • I can't be bothered to do the calculations, but I wonder, too, if my apparently low earnings are because of the fact that some dishes are in fact coin-losses to cook, meaning the cost of making the dish is higher than the profit they bring in. Players have also pointed this out in another thread, and Nanobit is now aware of it.

Anyway, the situation now is that I'm always quite broke but I'm doing well on the rank boards because I always have the dishes for takeouts since they not exactly flying off the counters, haha.

  • I always make sure I'm loaded up with Veg Skewers. Very quick to make and approx treble your money. I will cook other dishes to complete takeout orders and to get culinary stars but ones that make big loses (Waldorf Salad etc) I'll leave until the issue is corrected. I don't believe any dish should cause you to lose coin. Last night I only had the Veg Skewers and a small amount in other dishes out and I think I had approx 5000 - 6000 coin when I closed the app and when I went in this morning I had approx 14000. Hope that helps a bit.

  • Hello Raff,

We suggest you increase the number of chairs and tables in order to make sure your meals are sold faster.

Also, in case you notice that your customers stop entering your restaurant, please make sure to force-close and reopen the app, as we suspect this might be connected with the issue where your meals stop selling.

Just to update, after the post above, I tried for a day or two of force-closing the game whenever I knew I wouldn't be able to play for hours (e.g. during bedtime and also at work), and I woke up in the morning with empty counters and 14,000 coins.

So I think it has something to do with the fact that customers stop coming or stop ordering after the game has been running for a while.

Last night I fell asleep without closing the game. I think I had about 4 or 5 thousand coins when I fell asleep, and had about the same when I woke up, and counters still full, some still with fewer than 100 servings.

During the hour-long busride to work, I watched my coins and dishes. My last 2 servings of a smoothie did not sell in the hour. Then I realised my customers weren't were just sitting there. So I long-tapped the tables and placed them back in the same spot, just to boot them out of the place. New customers came in, and... things started selling! I guess it's a confirmation of buggy customers.

Since, with so few tables and chairs, I've still managed to get 14,000 coins overnight before, I'm guessing tables and chairs increase sales only while one is in-game; when the game is closed, dishes sell "normally" at a fixed rate, like how Bakery and Restaurant Towns work...

    These are just some thoughts.
I don't really really mind the occasional bug that causes my dishes to not sell, 'cos it's at those times that I can fulfil takeouts easily, haha.
    • Raff, thank you very much for the update on the situation. Unfortunately, we're still looking into why customers stop coming in, but hopefully we'll be able to rectify this issue with the next update.

If you have any more information which could help us in figuring out what causes this, please feel free to share it with us, it would be greatly appreciated.
