Profanity not stopping

I have been writing to you about another user harassing us on fashion studio. Please look at user friends4ever14's posts on my show portfolio.
Today he wrote suck d--k on my portfolio. Don't you have a profanity policy? I left the last few as proof that he is cursing at us. My daughters are no longer allowed to play your games as I cannot trust the environment you maintain. I have paid for this game and made many in app purchases so it is unfair that we cannot play without being cursed at and harrassed. Please let me know how you intend to solve this problem

  • I think apple should change the rating on your game to adult language

    Hi Dal,
I'm just a gamer here on the forum sharing my opinion with you. It may or may not prove to be useful to you but I thought I'd share anyway. While it is unfortunate that you have run into a meanie that you feel is harassing you & your family it seems that the best thing to do is to either ignore the bad comments & educate your children on the bad things & rude people out in the world so they can remain focused on game play or simply choose a different game for them to play & explain why you've done so. I'm not trying to shift blame but just pointing out the fact that seeing that you didn't immediately remove the comments so that your children wouldn't be repeatedly exposed to the profanity; you haven't utilized all of the safeguards at your very own disposal & they could still read it even if the original poster had been removed, reprimanded or banned. Currently there is no rating for the game app & adding one still wouldn't stop people from doing some of the things they do in order to get a rise out of others. It's a bit unfair to ask game creators to parent or educate children about certain things that go on in the world. For instance, there are bare midriff outfits & bathing suits in the game. In some cultures that would be considered obscene. Then there are probably parents of those children complaining about those things that are actually contained in the game itself & it'd be more understandable for the company to have a bit more control over what is presented in their game but they'd still have very little control over what occurs within the game community, outside of disabling a very handy feature.

While everyone may feel just as passionately about their complaint as you do about yours it's solely my opinion that you have to be reasonable about what you expect from game creators & administrators. Also, while your situation is obviously very upsetting to you it seems to be a very isolated incident that is a rarity rather than a norm. Try not to let 1 rotten apple spoil the bunch so to speak. More likely than not the person causing you to be so upset is actually a child using improper tactics to get attention & you're giving the attention they seem to be trying to get. The best thing to do is ignore them & use this incident as a way to educate your own children on proper behavior, conduct & respect for the feelings of others. I agree that it is an unfortunate incident to take place but encourage you to make a positive learning experience out of a negative incident.
    Sincerely,
    S. Smith(NanobitID-TheHoss)
