AVL or Volume Normalizing for SDs and Flash Drives

CD players are slowly going away with newer cars and even most home theater systems and since my new car has no CD player I no longer have a need for NERO UNLESS....

Would be nice if Nero decided to change or upgrade their software to now include "Automatic Volume Leveling" or "AVL" or "Normalizing" to their burning options for those of us who only use Flash Drives or SD cards now!

Drag and dropping music to an SD card or flash drive is MUCH easier and FASTER now!

Like I said...I no longer have the need for Nero since I no longer use a CD player so maybe it's time for NERO to upgrade or loose customers?

  • Hi Ron-

I have to agree about how the use of CD's has shrunk amongst the car manufacturers. Both of my cars are old enough to have CD players. I have no experience with home theater systems although, if you have a Blu-ray player in yours, it will play a CD.

I'm trying to figure out a way to cheat the system using Nero. You could use the Edit, Insert track option in WaveEditor to add all your files and then use the normalize function. Then save the tracks as a single file which you could burn to your SD or flash drive.

You could also import that file into Make Advanced Movie in Nero Video and then select the AVCHD-SD Card option and burn it to your SD.

These are just some ideas that probably need refinement. There may be other ways to do it.

If you want to get a Nero employee's attention to this, it would probably be best to make a new post to as "idea" in the forum.
