How come I now only seem able to burn 1 disc using Nero, then the dvd burner isnt available, and only allows 1 burn after each reboot

I never used to have this issue. Now I do.
Its nero Express Platinum I use.
The files are usually dvd or Blu ray Iso files but no file types consitently work, - only after a reboot

  • Hi Peter-

I don't know what is Nero Express Platinum. Are you using a Nero suite? If so, what is the version?

Do you have verification turned on?

  • Good morning Peter-

You didn't answer my questions. Please do.

In addition, what are you selecting when you open Nero Express?

Normally, after you create a compilation, clicking on Next will take you to the Burn screen. The box for verifying the data after the burn is there.

  • its Nero 2015. I think it is a suite as there are many different applications available.
    nero express is v 16.0.24000.
I dont know where verification is located.
I open express. add files that i wish to burn and hit next
Next window shows a "current recorder" window where my D: shows (its a dvd blu Ray burner. When Im unable to burn this box only has an Image recorder available in it.
Only a reboot will get it back to the d: for 1 burn then same again.
I have read about "burn rights" but I dont see wher this is controlled?

  • You didn't tell me what you're selecting when you open Nero Express but it really doesn't matter.

When you get to the screen where you can select the recorder, the box for enabling verification is under the Number of Copies box. Is it enabled?

I'm asking about that since, if it's enabled, it may take some time for the verification to take place and, it may be still trying to do the verification (even if you've removed the disc), when you try to do your next burn.

This isn't a burn rights issue.

    Please go here-

    C:\Users\"your username"\AppData\Roaming\Nero\Nero 15\Nero Burning ROM

You will find the nerohistory.log file there.

If you would, either upload it to a cloud service, such as dropbox, one drive, etc. and provide a link to it or copy and paste it's contents here. Note that a Reply box in the forum is limited in the amount of text it can contain. If you choose the copy and paste option, do the first paste and click on Reply. Look to see if the whole log is there. If not, you will need to use one or more additional Reply boxes to get the whole thing in here.

  • Verification isnt enabled.
Gets a bit difficult now as i just did a burn ok, then attempted another and it was ok too.
when i get a burn where it isnt allowed i can send the log file
