I’m anxious & confused!

How do I *remove* all 'watched folders' at once (not one by one?)

Hello Everyone,
Need some help here! I have Nero MediaHome 2014 installed, and when I click Options > Library, I see more than 50 'watched folders'.

I want to remove ALL OF THESE FOLDERS in one shot, instead of one by one (some folders have 1000+ media files, and MediaHome takes 60-75 seconds each before asking 'are you sure?').

Is there an easy way to do that?

When done, I would add my local music/video folders, then my NAS (mapped as drive letters).

Help please! Thanks

    Guys,
I look the 'big hammer' approach and renamed the following folder:

    C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Nero

This did the trick. I am, however, pretty sure that I just nixed my preferences across all Nero applications.

Nero technical support, why isn't CTRL+click functionality (to select multiple objects) available here? Not many non-technical users would know how to delete the Nero appdata folder, and if they did...where to find it.

    Make it easy!!!

  • Nero developers: When I click Options > Library and then select "Show iTunes Playlists and Windows(R) Media Player Playlists in Nero MediaHome", then click OK...then click Options > Library...

ALL THE WATCHED FOLDERS I REMOVED COME BACK.

This is not expected behavior, since many of the folders appear 3 or 4 times -- even though the folder is located under a 'main' music folder being used by iTunes and Windows Media Player (2 separate folders - 1 for MP3, 1 for M4A).

This needs to be fixed, since I don't want MediaHome scanning these watched folders in the background - just the main folder [H:\The Vault (Audio) and H:\The Vault (AAC)].

I had to break out the big hammer again, delete the appdata\Local\Nero folder, then re-open MediaHome and ensure Media Player/iTunes integration was disabled.

    Now it works as expected.

Janky ... as ... heck. Fix it.

  • Since I'm reluctant to screw up my NMH installation, I recommend that you send an e-mail to tech support at techsupport@nero.com. This will ensure that your problems/suggestions get full evaluation.

Let us know what they have to say.

  • The watched folder-list can be reset by renaming the Nero MediaHome cache folders:

Ensure that you have all hidden folders and files displayed on your system.

    Please proceed as follows:

    Windows 8:
Please open the Windows Explorer and enable the checkboxes "File name extensions" and "Hidden items" in the menu bar.

    Windows 7:
    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/wi...

    Windows Vista:
    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/wi...

    Window XP:
    http://www.microsoft.com/resources/do...

Once this is done, reboot your computer.

    Rename the following folders:

    Windows 8 + 7 + Windows Vista:

    (1)
Change the name of the “Nero“ Folder from
    C:\User\\AppData\Local\Nero
    To
    “Nero1”
    C:\User\\AppData\Local\Nero1

    (2)
Change the name of the “Nero_Ag“ Folder from
    C:\User\\AppData\Local\Nero_Ag
    to
    Nero_Ag1
    C:\User\\AppData\Local\Nero_Ag1

    Windows XP:
Change the name of the folder “Nero” from
    C:\Documents and Settings\\Local Settings\Application Data\Nero1
    To
    Nero_Ag
    C:\Documents and Settings\\Local Settings\Application Data\Nero_Ag1
