Nero 2018 Platinum Suite Upgrade Fails to Install w/Valid Nero previous S/N frm Previous Nero Platinum Suite

Nero 2018 Platinum Suite Upgrade Purchased Disk won't install past "enter previous Platinum Suite Serial No. Terminates with Error: "The Serial Number you have entered is a valid Nero Serial, but is not valid for this Application.

Nero Technical Support by "TechStation 24x7 1-800 299-0962 was very rude and Hung Up on me after I explained the installation error and problem twice.

  • Hi, Nero doesn't offer telephone support at the moment, so whomever you talked to was no from Nero. Looks like you bought the update disc. This is not an upgrade, just the installer of the current version (2018) on a disc in case you have troubles to download it. So you need to by an upgrade additionally.

  • I’m Flustrated and Down on NERO
    I have had it with Nero, and lack of Technical Support on their products directly, and no phone or contact outside of Germany.

    I contacted CleverBridge after being hung up upon and unable to get help, and they gave me an immediate Pay Pal Refund on the Nero 2018 Plaatinum Suite Upgrade.

    I'm switching two other computers to other equal or better DVD suite software that has Phone, Email, Web, and direct customer and technical support from the developer and/or LLC

    If you had waited a while, I probably would have been able to solve your problem. I don't come into the forum until I've answered all my e-mail notifications for threads I'm working on.

    TechStation, Your the one who Hung up on a Nero customer.

    I doubt you could have solved a [NON PROBLEM] by looking into files, or remotely taken over a PC as you admit specializing in support for many OTHER than Nero
    brands.

    You hung up as you could see I wasn't going along with your need to charge to look into system files or remotely troubleshoot my PC for $$$$ and Time, as I'am smarter than that and knew there was nothing wrong with my system or files.

    As "Since5.5 (NERO Employee)" said hours ago, the NON Problem is mainly due to Nero not describing what there selling, and lack of direct and expedient Technical and Customer Support.

    Under any circumstances, NEVER, EVER let an Unknown, Untrusted, unafffilated Technical Support Company look into you system or files, or take control remotely.

    For the uninformed, many SCAM'S and Costly Support contracts are out there, and you loose control of your System and Identity theft of accounts is likely if you do.

  • There are also a bunch of websites out there that say that they have x number of operators waiting to answer your questions about any software you can think of. None of them are representatives of the companies that they're answering questions for.

    As you now know, you can get support for Nero either here or by e-mail. You can currently buy Nero v2018 Platinum bundled with a bunch of software that you may or may not want but the $47.95 price is probably far lower than that for any other software similar to Nero in capabilities such as Roxio and CyberLink. This is not an upgrade price. You don't need to have an paid earlier version. I don't think you can beat this deal.
