Open project

1.) Having problem opening a project in Video 2014 created in Video 12. After selecting the 2014 project opens as new. The actual project selected does not follow at least I cannot see it anywhere. Just the flower video appears?

2.) I try to create a HD movie to burned on DVD just for home use. Do I need 50 fps at all for my purposes?
Thanks

I tried a simple NV12 project, saved it, and opened it in NV2014 without a problem. I'm not sure if this is guaranteed by Nero or not. What steps did you follow?

I can't answer your 50 fps question. Please clarify your Movie Options/Recording Format Options.

    Opened in Nero 2014 Video:

1.) I went through all of my saved projects and it showed that few of the first ones did not open but the later ones did. My guess is that I have made a mistake when saving. So that cleared.

2.) The project i am intending to do consists mainly still photos and some old fotages, 4:3 I assume. I intend to burn the project on a DVD as HD. As I have noticed Nero offers a frame rate of 50 fps. Should I use it or not? That is the question.

  • If your video is PAL, then you would have 50 fps. That's likely if you're in Europe. However, it depends on the source of your video.

Basically, the only way to burn to DVD as HD is to create a AVCHD-DVD which is only playable in a blu-ray player. DVD-Video is restricted to 720x... which is less than HD. I don't know what the resolution of your old footage is or where you got it.
