Recorded blu rays won't play on commercial players

Using Nero video 12 and making a blu ray from photos and hi def video from my canon camera. Disc is created fine and it will play on my PC with cyberlink power dvd but video pauses and gets out of sync with sound on commercial blu ray players. I've tried three different type of blank discs and both Sony and LG blu ray players to no avail. Thanks for any help

  • I created the video in the editor with base resolution from my camera at 1920x1080, 29 fps. I then chose the blu ray opiton to export and created a blu ray both with default and "standard" settings after the first did not work. The standard setting did repsonded the same way in my commercial blu-ray player. Plays fine for a few minutes then the video freezes and sound keeps going. If I pause the player the video advances but then freezes immediately while the sound keeps going.

  • This problem has shown up before.

Have you gone to the Nero ControlCenter and run the check for updates?

  • As I understand it, the disc plays fine on your computer but not on a standalone player. Is that correct? Normally, if it plays correctly on the computer, the disc is burned correctly and the problem lies with the player.

Some blu-ray players don't support certain formats like mpeg-4, etc. I don't know what you used. You should check the player manual, in this regard.

  • Format is BD video which is the default format nero uses. My standalone player (LG) supports this. It will also play back MP4 which I tried but playback was very choppy. Yes it plays on a PC but only with cyberlink DVD-not neros bluray playback software.

  • Unless you have Platinum or the blu-ray plug-in, you won't be able to play blu-ray in the Nero Blu-ray player. If you do have the plug-in, what happens when you play the disc? Also, open the Blu-ray player and right click on the opening screen and select About. What is the version number.

    Also, go here-

    C:\Users\"user name"\AppData\Roaming\Nero\Nero 15\Nero Vision

Copy the contents of the NeroVisionLog.txt file here.

  • As has been the case lately, the log files are incomplete.

As I understand it, you get the choppy playback in the Nero Blu-ray Player.

Try something for me. Open Recode and import one of the videos from your camera. Recode it to mpeg-4.

Recreate your project in Nero Video using only the recoded file and burn it to your hard drive. It will create a BDMV folder. Open that in the Nero Blu-ray Player, is it still choppy?
