I just tried to import from Google Reader. After authorising NewsBlur, Google says:

The page you have requested cannot be displayed. Another site was requesting access to your [blank] account, but sent a malformed request. Please contact the site that you were trying to use when you received this message to inform them of the error. A detailed error message follows:

The "scope" parameter was bad or missing.

Are you trying to use a Google Account associated with a custom domain? These have never worked, since Google does not accept export from these types of accounts. If you have ideas on getting these to work, I'm all ears. But unfortunately, it only works on Google Accounts not on custom domains.

A workaround is to export OPML from Google Reader and import the OPML file in NewsBlur. It has the same results, but it's more work for you.

Yeah, it's a Google Apps account. That must be the problem!

I'll take the OPML route. I think I can handle the extra clicks. :)
