Large number of images being cached

Hi Newsblur,

On my android device I've noticed that at the bottom of my screen it's displaying that there are a large number of images being cached (150+) even if I've only got 1 or 2 unread items. I'm not sure if this is because it's caching the images for every read story, or maybe it's because it's downloading images for disliked stories.

Would you consider an option that only caches images for unread stories?

Or one step further (if it's not already doing this), provide the ability to not cache images for disliked stories?

This could have the benefit of reducing potentially unnecessary downloads.

It will never cache them for already-read stories, but now that you mention it, I'm not certain about negative-trained stories. Will definitely add this to some testing I am doing of image cache behaviour this very week.

Could it also be caching images for muted feeds?
