This is because you are using the wrong format. Use this:

http://gdata.youtube.com/feeds/base/u...

Only insert username.

The format is correct, i don't need feed of a particular user but require feed in relation to videos uploaded in channels subscribed by that particular username

"http://gdata.youtube.com/feeds/base/u..." would appear not to have a feed associated with it directly.

Don't you need something to replace "/username/" in that link? Or how will it know which user you are referencing?

Mine works, though I don't have the "?alt=rss" bit, so I'm getting an atom feed instead of an rss feed. When I visit the feed url in a web browser, I see the appropriate xml document. What specific URL are you using, and what do you see when you visit it in a browser? Is NewsBlur giving you an error? What does NewsBlur say about the URL when you add it? Assuming you are sumaggarwal on YouTube, I would expect either of these to work:

It is working now with original feed address. Previously it was showing "This address does not point to an RSS feed or a website with an RSS feed"
