Hello Sean, twitbird never asks for any iTunes password ever, sometimes the iPhone itself would ask for your password to do something we don't know. For now, you can try delete your twitbird pro, reboot your device and re download the app. Re download with same iTunes account is free of charge.

I've deleted Twitbird Pro several times now and reinstalled, but it hasn't solved this issue. Every time I launch TBP, I get the popup dialogue asking for my iTunes password. The issue only happens in TBP, not any other apps.

I'm on iPhone 4, with OS 4.0.1. I have purchased support for Global Push, but it does not seem to be working. It used to work perfectly, but even now when I tap the "Test Push Notification" button, I don't get a Push Notification.

Sorry, wrong screenshot. As you can see, it is happening throughout my iphone. Apple is blaming your company so I have to exhaust my efforts with you. Please help!! Keep in mind this didn't happen until I purchased global push notifications in the Twitbird App

Hi Sean, as we can see, you encountered this problem even in other application, this is really not made by us. We don't have permission to ask for users' iTunes account password, Apple never provides a way to let us do so. Twitbird is an honest bird, if we made something wrong, we will admit it and apologize. If you encountered this issue only after you purchased global push, that means Apple needs your iTunes account password to verify if you have really purchased this item, Apple, not us. I'm sorry for the inconvenience, I believe this is apple wants to protect you and us.

I believe it's linked to global push. Since I installed global push I am having the same problem and it's annoying. and i know it's twitbird because it asks for my itunes password only when I open twitbird.

And if this problem persists, twitbird, it's actuall YOUR PROBLEM not Apple's because of the way you are managing global push purchase is BUGGY.

I am finding that Yoning is right. I don't get Push anymore anyway. I like twitbird, but this password thing is annoying the crap out of me and it happens 100% of the time using TwitBird.
Please post how to remove global push completely because turning it off doesn't help.

Since this problem arose for me (and I never found a solution for it), I switched over to the free version of Twitbird, which doesn't support global push. I miss having my notifications, but it wasn't worth having annoying popups everytime I try to use the app. And for the record, this issue has ceased for me completely now that I'm using the free twitbird, so I'm inclined to agree that it seems to be an issue with global push support.

Update to this problem.
I have been using Twitbird Free version with no problems at all. I would really like to get rid of the ads, especially since I have paid to do so, but every time I have time I re-download Twitbird Premium and try to reinstall it, the problem comes back. I would have to assume it has something to do with the Push Notifications, but even disabling the Push Notifications doesn't fix it. On top of that, Push Notifications don't even work when enabled.

ARGHH!!! I like Twitbird a lot. It really cheeses me off that nothing is fixing this problem.

I gave up on this program and moved back to Osfoora. The devs don't know what is going on even when it was on their end. Probably what happened is when the push servers were down, and the add-on was purchased, their servers didn't communicate to Apple that the purchase was acknowledged. It is on their end and I highly doubt that any amount of application updates will help, because it is a server problem. If anyone else wishes to join me I use TweetDeck on Droid Incredible.

Now, I have to deal with advertisements in TwitBird. Please, tell us how to turn off the global notifications so I can at least use TwitBird without advertising.

Boxcar had the very same issue with their previous release, but they fixed the bug in no time via emergency update.
I wonder if developers are even aware of this bug.

In fact, Facebook integration feature was my reason to puchase TwitBird Pro, which forgets my stored Facebook login information.
And now I paid 4 bucks for the global push, which asks me to put iTunes account information every single time I run TwitBird Pro.

Where the hack did I spend my money on?
Seems like the worst move I made in terms of app purchase so far, thanks to whoever.

I purchased this the global push option yesterday and receive the message for the iTunes login ever since.

The push notifactions setting states that it failes to register at the global push server.

Is there any workaround for this? Thanks

Coen, the only way I have found to fix this problem is to downgrade to twitbird free. According to Apple, if you do a factory fresh install of iOS (NOT a backup) and then reinstall twitbird, you MIGHT not have the problem anymore. Granted, you will lose all of the information you might have saved on your phone including all your contacts, passswords, notes, texts, etc...
