Apple returns "Apps and app updates submitted to the App Store must be built with Xcode 5.1.1 or later, and iOS 7 SDK." when trying to Submit for Review after building with PhoneGap Build.

This comes only today, after their redesign of the iTunes Connect pages. Any thoughts? Ideas?

Thanks Ken...feel a little better knowing we're not alone... a little better..not a "lot"!! ;-)
Sure wish our Phonegap folks would update us....even if they've nothing to report. That itself might be news. helllooooooooo out there.

To stop all errors in iTunes connect I had to:

- Recreate my certificates, p12 and mobile provisioning profile, in the provisioning portal

- Remove the old certs from phonegap build and add the new ones

- Increase the version number of my app and then rebuild in phonegap build

- Submit using Application Loader

I also added 2 extra screenshots for the new screen sizes, but not sure if that's necessary.

Back to "Waiting for review" now, but at least I don't have the "beta entitlement" error any more.

I shall be interested to know how that goes. That's essentially what I did yesterday to get rejected. such a lovely feeling. ;-)

Hi,
Apple knows about the issue, and it is entirely their issue. Unfortunately we are not privy to their processes and updates (what you know is what we know), please subscribe to get email updates to the original dev forum message by going here:

... then click on the Email Updates button at the top. As Apple Developers -- you have access to this forum, just login with your Apple ID.

Their latest update is below, with instructions from Apple itself to help them diagnose:

Well regarding the diagnosis – since we're all using Phonegap Build to compile and not XCode directly, we can't really help Apple there. So I'm hoping that you Adobe guys have already reported the version which you are using on Build?

Thanks Shazron.

Another interesting thing is that my App finally made it into review only to be rejected because of receipt validation, EVEN THOUGH I HAVE NO IN-APP PURCHASES and don;t use it!

They are really screwed up more than usual right now.

Apple Rejected Phonegap build. needs Xcode version 5.1.1.

Here is the letter I got.
Please help. What do I need to do now?

We have discovered one or more issues with your recent submission for "Sharks Teeth of Venice". To process your submission, the following issues must be corrected:

This bundle is invalid - New apps and app updates submitted to the App Store must be built with public (GM) versions of Xcode 5.1.1 or higher and iOS 7 SDK. Do not submit apps built with beta software.

Once these issues have been corrected, use Xcode or Application Loader to upload a new binary to iTunes Connect. Choose the new binary on the app’s Details page in My Apps on iTunes Connect, and click Submit for Review.

That's only three days! Be patient. Usually, it takes much longer, and at the moment it's quite extreme.

It's seems that the problem is from apple, not yours our phonegap / phonegap build.

According to an Apple representative on the previously mentioned thread on Apple Developer Forums the bug should be now fixed:
"Apple engineering is reporting the original issue is now resolved; you should no longer get an error message about using beta releases if you are not in fact using beta releases."

p.s. currently 10 day review time on app submissions :( http://appreviewtimes.com – and add the 4 days wasted due to this bug, that adds up to a 2 week delay on getting the app out :(

I also asked this question at - https://devforums.apple.com/thread/24...
---
I have been searching online what the error actually means and found that - the error its showing me is just initial of a full error message.
I have been keeping my eye on this following thread as I thought its the same issue -
https://devforums.apple.com/thread/24...

As the one of the response says the issue is resolved now - but mine didn't, that made me think may be I'm having a different issue.

My xCode version is - 5.1 (5B130a)

Following post asked to share the xcode version number which having similar issue.
https://devforums.apple.com/message/1...
But I counldn't as I don't see any option to reply or create a new thread in that 'iTunes Connect" forum.

And here is the error message its showing -
"This bundle is invalid. New apps and app updates submitted to the App Store must be built with public"

I'm using the "validate" button in the Archives before making Distribution build.

I'm not quite sure what should I do now. Can anyone tell me what I should do?
Should I just ignore this message just use the "Distribute" button in that archive manager?

Quick update from me. After 9 days my app changed from "Waiting for review" to "In Review" and then an hour later was approved. Now just waiting for it to appear in the App Store.

I was just able to delete and recreate my mobile provision, export the private .p12 key, redo my build through build.phonegap.com, then invite an internal tester and install the app through test flight on the phone.
