hi there,
I see that support for big projects has been a priority for nearly a year now, but no update. 15 MB is unusable for a multimedia project using retina art work.
What's the status on getting support for big projects, larger than 15 MB?
thanks

If you have a paid subscription (either Creative Cloud or PhoneGap Build) you can now build apps up to 40MB.

This is good news, but it should be at least 50MB to support Google's maximum accepted size for the main .apk.

well its far worse than that..... this is not the size of the final package at 40mb...this is source files. hell my project got blocked on 15mb limit long ago. I took to building locally and using testflight instead to distribute...
My source files were up over 20mb at the time but final ipa and apk files were in around 4mb. so even a 50mb limit would not get you close to google's maximum acceptable size.

A couple of things:
1) Increasing from 15MB -> 40MB was a big jump for us and our infrastructure.
2) Our limitation only applies to the web app portion. The framework adds additional size to the apk. For example, the app a PhoneGap Build employee just created went 11MB zip -> 22MB apk. We limit it to 40 to allow for plugins and framework overhead.

Certainly it is a big jump. it just wasnt enough, soon enough for those following this thread.
as for your experience with the zip content doubling in size as apk, I've never seen that,m every apk and ipa file I make are always less than my initial project size. I'm building these on our server and seeing a 28 mb project generate a 19mb ipk and 19.7mb ipa file.
Of course I am sure this problem stems from the fact that your marketing this tool to build each platform under one app....well here is the issue, rather than assert the size of the source project that includes assets for multiple platforms, you should be asserting the final code size.
Certainly if I just built one platform per app....but seriously?
Anyway...hope it works out better for others.

Colene, for something we've been told you've been working on for about a year now, you couldn't even get an order of magnitude increase? Clearly this was just a bump in a config setting versus proper architectural support for large projects. How about building a streaming architecture in which we provide you public URLs to our assets, you build the project, and store out to S3 buckets that we also provide? Imposing limitations based on your architectural weakness is never the right excuse.

I have just purchased a paid subscription and it is not allowing me to upload past 15MB. Is there a time delay before I can upload a larger zip file

Hi! Just wanted to compile my first game. Its a casual game but has a big soundtrack and is about 63MB zipped. Even if I pay 40 MB is just not enough.
So I have to try if I can get a CocoonJS premium account, they offer 200 MB uploads. But not everyone gets premium. :(

Hi Mark
The system will take some times to sync / re-populate your subscription status. It should be upgraded by now, but if it's not then let us know.
Thanks!
