I let it run for a while earlier but then stopped it, re-uploaded my files and tried again -still sitting on pending. How long should I wait? Is there a problem with the servers?

Are there Serverproblems or is something wrong with my build?

Please vote for this: "PhoneGap Build Status Website"
http://community.phonegap.com/nitobi/...
Because it would help us all to know whats up with the server.

It is sad that the service is broken for so long. I can handle a down time of some hours, but not if it last several days. I am not the only one with a scheduled presentation, I guess.

I think the reason is they are upgrading the service to support PhoneGap 2.7.0.
They are aiming to release 2.7 around May 15.
During the upgrade, there are some bugs, then make the service down.
If the problem is same as what I say, then they are crazy and stupid. No UAT before launch the upgrade?

Thats another reason why they need to setup a status page. We can just guess what they are doing and how long it will take to finish/fix. Please vote for it!

to the ones that NEED to work cause of the schedule... im using this tool temporally till they solve the problem: ICENIUM , it has a 30 day free trial period, and it can do almost the same than phonegap with cordova. I got it working in 20 min.
I hope it helps.

Thanks for the tip, it looks really good. Having only been using it for an hour I can't comment on outages or customer service but it was relatively painless to publish my Phonegap app via Icenium. It seems to be a viable alternative.

I reported this outage via Twitter (https://twitter.com/AdamTuttle/status...) and here on the support site (http://community.phonegap.com/nitobi/...) 12+ hours before your post.
I'm more than a little angry that:
* It took you 12 hours to acknowledge the issue
* You claim the issues have only been going on briefly ("early this morning", 12 hours after the fact)
* It's been more than 21 hours since it started happening (coming up on a full 24 hours!) and you've done nothing more than acknowledge the issue.
* It's been 8 hours without an update.
This is Mickey Mouse. If you want this product to be successful, setup proper monitoring; get alerted when it breaks -- even if it's 3am in your local time -- and start working on a fix immediately; COMMUNICATE with us every step of the way. You should be posting AT LEAST every 2-3 hours, if not more frequently, with status updates.
I'm your biggest fan. I love this service. But if you can't keep it online or bother to talk to us when it has problems, I'll take my business elsewhere. There is no shortage of alternatives.

I agree - it's the lack of communication that really gets my goat.
The folks that use Phonegap are developers, so we know that these things do not always go according to plan and that unforeseen problems can arise. Why not just tell us what the problem is? At least ping a comment every couple of hours so that we know you're still working on it and not all on holiday.
I don't mind managing my client's expectations but to do that I need information. if a service is going to be down for a couple of days, it makes all the difference to know in advance so that I can plan my work and delivery schedule accordingly.
When the service works properly it's so invisible that it's easy to forget how good it is but more transparency when it's not working would go a really long way to smoothing over the rough patches.

The PhoneGap team works in the PDT time zone, I in CEST. As a result, my whole day is ruined when I recognize a system failure, because the staff is out of office while I work. Second day in a row that I can not continue my project. :-/
