Android Camera Image rotated by 90 degrees

I am working on a project in which the build is intended for iOS and Android.

On iOS devices the camera functionality works fine and does not rotate the image

The problem is with the Orientation of Camera for Android devices, I am holding the App/device in portrait mode, and take a pic from camera, then also it considers the app in Landscape mode as base and rotates the image by 90 degrees.

If I take the image when in Landscape mode then it works fine.

The App Id is 206082.

Devices I have tested it on are HTC X1 and Google Nexus.

I'm not able to test your app on a Galaxy Nexus on Android 4.1 due to the login screen. However with the same config.xml settings, it works fine on a sample camera app I used (app and image stays in portrait mode). Haven't checked with the One X yet.

Are you checking the picture's rotation on a program that doesn't recognise EXIF orientation, like Windows's default photo viewer?

Thanks for the response, it does work fine on Google Nexus. The HTC X1 is the the culprit as that is where the image rotates.
