Out of the blue this afternoon, my app has stopped installing on test devices < Android 4.4. I have no idea what happened, but the app ID is 1050195
When I try to install it, I just get "Application not installed". I don't have any other versions running on the device, it was a clean install.
Any ideas what's going on?

So it looks like conflicting app Ids or something. When I uninstalled all the apps and reinstalled it it works.
This is not good though, I made he mistake of deleting my production bundle from phonegap build, and now it seems I can't resubmit a new version of the app to Google play! What do I do?
Why for consistency's sake, doesn't it just use the bundle ID I provide in the config.xml file? That way as long as that's the same there will be no conflicts?

Upon further review, the app still doesn't install on android 4.2 or 4.1. I have no idea what's going on. I removed any target APIs from my config and it still doesn't work.

I have tried deleting all my apps off all test devices/emulators. I also deleted all my apps off phonegap build.
I am basically starting from scratch to try and rule out evey possibility.
Here is the new app ID: 1050754
It's installing on 4.3+ but failing on < 4.3. What am I doing wrong? Please help!

I'm having the same issue, and it's indeed only happening in Android < 4.3, in 4.3 and 4.4 it's working OK.
I've filed another report as well so this comes to PGB's attention: http://community.phonegap.com/nitobi/...

I am also a paying user, for what it's worth. Its good to know other people are experiencing this problem. I was literally at my wits end with this.
It's frustrating because this is the second time in as many weeks the android builds have been broken...

Indeed, it's frustrating things break regularly at PGB. You guys at PGB really need to improve your testing process before pushing changes into production, you're really frustrating your paid customers when unacceptable things like these happen.
And to top it off, there's no kind of direct tech support, only cheap community support that takes ages to get a reply on, not to mention the time it takes to get a solution, particularly when we're talking about a widespread issue with your service that's being reported by an experienced developer who knows what he's doing and has worked with your platform for a long time.
If $9.99/month per user for your service doesn't pay the bills when it comes to dedicated support staff, at least you should offer some kind of premium membership that includes ticket support, so issues like this come to your attention faster and they get resolved with priority, as it affects everyone.

To make PhoneGap Build a successful platform you guys need to invest in support, which so far is almost non-existent. Developers like us cannot rely in the long term on a service which doesn't offer solid support when there's a problem like this one.

The upgrade to 3.5.0 was a month or so ago.
But obviously, they changed something on Friday night, then left the system unattended for the weekend.

Same problem for all of my Android apps. Something seems to be wrong with the build service.
As a temp solution I had to change the widget id in the config.xml to something else.

Hi, It is now Monday and I haven't been able to install my app since Saturday, August 16th.
I am able to load the phonegap build with the updated APK to google app market but when i try to update my app on my android HTC and Samsung phones i get the message «the app wasn't signed correctly».
I have tried deleting the app and creating it again and reloading the keys but nonthing works.
I had no problems like this before and i have been using phonegap built for a while
The url to my app is https://build.phonegap.com/apps/10511...

The app runs correctly from your end because you most probably haven't installed it before this Friday.

As i mentioned before, the error message on the different android phones is
«the App wasn't signed correctly»
I tried installing an updated version of my app this morning (Monday) and I get the same error message on the same devices where I was able to install my app up to Friday with no errors.
To summarize: since Saturday the app can't be installed on the same devices where it could be installed with no errors on Friday, and the error message on the devices is «The App wasn't signed correctly»

What does it matter? Build seems to be broken for all of people for all apps. Did something change in the build service since last Friday?
Not being able to reproduce the problem yourself doesn't mean that the problem does not exist.

Getting "Application not installed" error when installing app in Android.
I'm getting an "Application not installed" error on Android. My App ID is 1050746. I'm a paid customer.
Note that this error happens in several Android versions I tested it on like Android 2.3, 4.0, 4.1, but doesn't happen in Android 4.3 and 4.4, and only happens when signing the app with my own key, doesn't happens when using the default key, but I need to use my key in order to upload it to the app store.
Please review this urgent bug ASAP!

Apps aren't installing since the PGB 3.5.0 upgrade.
Hi
I rebuilt one of my apps today (app id 970112) after making some feature changes, and my Android says 'Application not installed' after installation.
I've bug tested it, and checked the certs etc. It all seems fine.
As a final test, I downloaded my other app (app id 1034259) using the QR code that had last been built using PGB 3.3.0. It installed fine. I then uninstalled that app from my phone.
Next, without changing anything else, I hit the Rebuild button, and downloaded and attempted to install the new version. It gives me the 'Application not installed' error.
I repeated the process, making sure I had no PGB apps loaded on the phone to start, but the same error message appears.
There may be a step I'm missing, or something I'm misunderstanding, but I'm wondering if there is an issue with PGB 3.5.0?
Cheers

My App's build was completely failing, now it builds again but I can't install it on a device where it has been installed before Friday. Seems to have something to do with certificates...

Holy cow. What is going on...
So I'm not changing my application structure, since I have been using build for literally years and have never had a problem.
I'm not changing my app id because I need to keep it the consistent to upload it to Google play.
Look, I get it, thinges happen, but throwing your hands I put and saying "sorry, can't reproduce here" isn't the solution. Look at how many people "+ 1'd" this in the past 48 hours. Something is clearly off.
