Just sharing some information.
I found the following to be a new solution for me.

Using PhoneGap Build, build your app as an Android app.
Go to BlackBerry's Packager for Android apps. I used the online tool.
Follow the instructions to repackage for BB.
Get the .bar file and upload to Vendor Portal.

Practically hassle-free.
My app was approved in 4 days.
Make sure to indicate Tablet OS 2.0 in your app description.

Hope that helps.

BlackBerry Playbook support was added in PhoneGap 1.3.0, but has been pretty unstable - a number of APIs are not working fully.

We will look at the next release of PhoneGap to see what the Playbook support is like - if it's more robust and fully-featured, we may include it as an option on PhoneGap Build. It produces a separate binary to the BB handset build, so we'll have to figure out the best way to handle that.
