Hi All,
Really sorry to see reports that the build service is down, we have been able to replicate it and would be looking into getting it working as soon as possible.
We are really sorry for the inconvenience caused.
Thanks for your understanding.
PS. Ignore the message from the status page as it is incorrect right now(we'll look at that also).

This is unacceptable, PhoneGap. People have schedules that they need to keep. I guess the lesson here is NOT TO RELY ON ADOBE. PhoneGap Build will let you down.

?! every service is down from time to time. That can not be changed. The only difference one can make is to react quickly. And judging form the comments here they are reacting.

Well, yes. It does take a while, and it's not the first time, either. I can understand the frustration.
But it doesn't help the Phonegap people much if we start yelling, does it?
[I just hope that the engineers, who have to work this out, are not all located in a time zone where they haven't even got up, yet! ]

if you have to keep schedules, you should never use some online service but rather build your apps locally

Hmm...building apps locally involves managing and maintaining your own machines and software. That costs time, too...and if your own environment breaks down at any time, you won't be able to match schedules anymore, either.
That's why I would rather use a service that is (supposed to be) managed by people who do that continuously - people who have the knowledge and the experience.

i wouldn't want to set up a local development environment either. i'm just saying, if you are developing apps professionally (and that's usually the case when you have to keep schedules) you should not rely on a single webservice to compile your apps. especially if you have made bad experiences with this service in the past.

This is really bad. I like the work you do, I like not having to set up several tool chains for every platform. But everytime the service goes south I have to defend the decision to use Build. And it's getting harder to do so with each outage.

We are really sorry everyone.
Still trying to find the cause of the issue and hopefully fix this.
Sorry once again.

Hi All,
Working now, slightly slower than usual but works.
I will update you all once I have more details of the cause.
Thanks for your patience and sorry for the delay

Hi All,
Sorry for the late update.
As promised here's information on the cause of the issue:
Issue seems to arise from our migration to the latest version of ruby on rails and our AWS alarm system which should trigger seemed to have gone off pretty early while no one was in.
We would work on stabilizing the server while also reducing the amount of builds to be in the queue before the Alarm goes off.
Thanks a lot for the patience and sorry for the delays this might have caused.
