DisallowOverscroll not working

My (only) config.xml contains -

<b><preference name="DisallowOverscroll" value="true" /></b>

and yet I am still getting bounce.
I have tried it with the older -

<b><preference name="UIwebviewbounce" value="false" /></b>
<b><preference name="webviewbounce" value="false" /></b>

and all combinations.
I am using Build cli-6.1.0 (iOS 4.1.0) on an iPhone5
I see this topic has been discussed previously on this and other forums, but I've tried all those answers to no effect, so hoping there was something else I'm missing.

@Ian,
I see Petra has helped you in the past, but what may not be clear from previous statements is - if you are using PGB, then you should only be using current documentation for PGB. This topic comes up quite often, I'm sure Petra can solve this. My quick question is - where did you find the preference you are using? Was it included with the template you used or did you find it else where?

Hi Jesse,

Petra has been invaluable to me - cannot sing her praises loud enough (even though she did bitch-slap me (deservedly) quite few times!)

I honestly can't say exactly where I found the DisallowOverscroll preference - many hours googlin' basically told me the `webviewbounce` was deprecated and I should be using DisallowOverscroll - it just doesn't work for me :(

I've had a look at the current documentation and can't find it mentioned (or any substitute) - are you hinting that it's wrong? What should I be using?

Cheers,
Ian.

Yes, I am hinting that it is wrong. I've watched this topic come up more than once, but it's not in my workflow - so I can't give you a solid answer. My guess is that you will likely need to use the statusbar plugin - which is brand new. However, I'm fairly sure that Petra knows the answer. If not, jcesarmobile should know. They are the two (2) people I often turn to on this.

FWIW: most of the answer you are seeing in Google are either deprecated or belong to CLI. My dated notes (Nov 2015), show DisallowOverscroll is only for CLI. But again I cannot verify this.

Petra should be online in a few hours - midnight mountain time - which is where I am at. FYI: I think Petra is in Belgium or some place in Europe and is just having breakfast.

Best of Luck
Jesse

Thanks for that!

Is Petra one of the original developers?

@Petra,
is an unpaid supporter of PGB like me, but Petra prefers to referred to as a "denizen". I'm on this forum daily, but Petra has been on longer than i, and therefore has more experience and knowledge.

As I said in the other thread, I'm not really into this overscroll/bounce topic (because I prefer to offer the expected, default behaviour of the webview).

However, perhaps two suggestions might help a tiny bit:
1. What does your meta/viewport element's value look like? Do you have the height set somehow? If so, could you try removing that height setting?
2. Could you, for test purposes, try the WKWebView instead of the UIWebView? It's done by using the wkwebview plugin.
According to Jira, things went wrong at first, but have been fixed.
