I keep getting this error when building my signed Android app, even though I have verified I am using the correct alias and password with keytool on the command line.

App id: 1060218

Any ideas?

Thanks

Hi,

Can you create a new key, do not add special characters into any of the name, alias and password(recommend), ensure you use the same alias and password when submitting the key.

Thanks.

Hi, I am having a similar issue where I am getting various "alias" related issues when trying to use my .keystore. I need to use the .keystore file in question, as we are releasing an updated version overtop of an existing app.

The prior app was built by another vendor, and they were able to provide us with the .keystore file, along with what they referred to as an "export password" and a "keystore password". I was then able to determine that there are three aliases within the .keystore using the keytool utility, and I know which one refers to my app.

However, every combination I try with these values in the 'Alias', 'Certificate Password' and 'Keystore Password' fields manages to unlock the key, but the build keeps failing with various errors related to the alias.

How can we go about debugging this issue?
