When your SD card gets infected with shortcut virus, then all files and folders stored in the SD card turns into Shortcut Files and Folders as shown in the image below.

But how shortcut virus enters into SD card?
There are various ways through which a shortcut virus can enter and infect your SD card. They are as follows:
- When you connect your card to PC infected with shortcut virus.
- When you download files from malicious websites.
- When you transfer files from one phone to another that is infected with shortcut virus.
So, now the question arises - how to remove shortcut virus from SD card?
Well, below follow the steps to remove shortcut virus from SD card:
Connect your infected SD card to Windows PC.
On your PC, click “Start” and type “CMD” in the search address bar and hit ENTER.

In the opened new command prompt window type the following command: attrib -h -r -s /s /d d:\*.* and press ENTER.

Note: Here you have to replace “d:” with your SD card drive letter name.
After this Windows will detect and remove the Shortcut virus from SD card.
After the completion of process, go back to “This PC/My Computer” and check your SD card. I hope you can now access all files in your card.
