PhoneGap only builds a .xap file for Windows, but the Windows store will only accept .appx, .appxbundle or .appxupload files.

I have seen people say to unpack the .xap file, but that does not contain any .appx, .appxbundle or .appxupload files. It is just some images, xml and xaml files and dll, an Images folder, and a www folder.

Hi,

You should still be able to submit your xap file to Windows Phone store not Windows Store.

When will we support appx, all I can say in regards this is at earliest after the release of Cordova 3.6.0.

Thanks.

Technically you are correct, ismael. You may submit a xap-file to Windows Phone store, but only for 8.0 devices.

For most that is practically useless as there are way way way more 8.1 devices than 8.0. And now we even have Windows 10.

As it is today Phonegap Build is useless for the Windows platform. Your support is way outdated, so please try to keep up with the world.
