While testing phonegap build and uploading a 32 Mb zip file, I got the message that the package was too large to build

What is the maximum allowed size for applications?

Hi,

I am trying to upload my application to phonegap but I am not able to upload file and got this message.
"Unable to create app: File is too large ".

My unzipped folder size is : 27.8 MB
and zipped file size is : 16.4 MB

So, what could be the reason for this?
If there is some solution then please provide me so that I can make my builds as soon as possible.

You can store your project in SVN and then link Phonegap Build to that SVN repository. Either set up your own SVN server, or use one of the cloud ones. I can recommend Beanstalk: prices start at only 15 USD per month.

Just be careful with the repos over 10mb there is a timeout on how long build will take to fetch the new contents.

When using an SVN, do we just upload the files as is and it sucks them all into PhoneGap build to build the app?

Can I pay to get a larger size limit or a longer timeout?

Hey Adam,

Unfortunately at this time we do not have a service available to handle this request. I will bring it up at our next meeting.

Thanks,

I was wondering if there was any word back on this request from your meeting. I would be interested in larger file sizes as well.

Due to our current infrastructure and the fact that we are still in public beta we will not be lifting the size restrictions for applications. The limit was placed as a safe guard to guarantee equal hardware access to all users in the beta program.
