Have been using Build for a while, but off lately (mostly around your site upgradation) am quite troubled by the builds not getting updated.
Is there something else at my end that I need to check / update for this to show up ?
I update the config files and they do seem to get updated, however, the files / app seems to remain the same.
For a test, this morning, I rolled back a week and uploaded that zip file with a new revision, and although the new revision number showed up, the code seemed to be my today's commit.
Could you confirm if this is a common problem ?

I'm having the same issue. I created my build this morning, linked to my github project, and it doesn't seem to pick up any changes when updating the code and rebuilding. I've only tested this with Android.

Hello,
Since you mentioned github project I'm going to assume that it's an external repo on github, and not provided via Build. Can you please email me you app id, and if the repo is public the project url as well?
Thanks,
Hardeep Shoker

Hi Hardeep,
14370 is my app id.
I've 'always' uploaded a zip file with a config file (with an updated version number). So although the version bumps up, seems like the old code is used.
Really wish this could be resolve soon.

Thanks

Here's my info:
App ID: 20048
GitHub: https://github.com/mtjohnson/phonegap...
I just forked the phonegap project and started editing it.
After creating my Build I tried to hit the update code button at the top of the page, but nothing happened (the popup dialog appeared, but the update button did nothing).
So I deleted my Build and recreated it, but still the code wasn't updated.
(I did find that if you Edit the Build and click Update Code from the Edit page, the update seems to do something, but due to this issue it must not be updating the code).

i'm having a similar problem.
when using the update code function combined with uploading a new .zip, the new build file continues to use the old .zip file as source.
as a work around (hopefully temporarily) i have been deleting my app and then creating a new app, uploading my new zip, setting the correct signing cert, and building again.
is anyone else still having this issue?

Same thing
Sometimes when I upgrade my app with a new zip file, nothing happens. I will choose the zip file to upgrade and then click the open button (in the windows dialog box) Phonegap just goes back the home page (where all of your apps are shown). I need to update my app code. After trying this many times over and over I then will delete that config setup and try to create a new app config. The same thing happeneds. Then sometimes it will work. I tried renaming my zip file, so PhoneGap sees that it’s another upgrade, but nothing. It’s a hit and miss, with more misses than hits. Any ideas?

Again, seeing the same issue. Can upload...or appear to upload.. a new ZIP, but the downloaded app is the same as one from yesterday.

Thanks Hardeep! I am sure I speak for the community...you guys are doing a wonderful job. As a 15 year software engineer veterean, I am happy to be able to utilize PhoneGap Build without having to learn or relearn hardware and OS's.

Hey Everyone,
Just wanted to give you an update on the issue, it seems that the actual uploads are being cached and not the binary files that are produced via build. I'm looking into finding a possible solution.
Sit tight,

Hm, but the frontend on the build website is getting updated. When I change the version in my config.xml this change shows up und PhoneGap Build. But the app is the old one.

Hi there,
I'm using the zip-upload variant of PhoneGap Build (love it).
Sometimes I have the problem, that on the PGB web site there are the actual settings of my app but the download is an old version.
My workaround is, to delete the app and recreate it. Is there another way?
Cheers
Philipp

Have been using phonegap to develop an application, so far so good.
Today I decided to update a few things and whenever I upload a new version I can immediately download the files. There seems to be no que.
When I download the files, I come to realize that they are not in-fact new files. The date says it was compiled today but that is not the case...
Is the build server down?

When I click the "ipa" button to download my built app, it downloads from cache. I was wondering why none of the changes I had made in the last few days were actually changing in the app, while they were updating in MobileSafari, and (thanks to Google Chrome's network panel) I have figured it out. As I mentioned, my browser is chrome. I hope you fix this soonish, because it's a hassle clearing my cache after every build. Thanks, JJJollyjim.

if it's the uploads being cached, i'd look at the file permaissons on the server folder and if they can be overwritten by ruby.

Hardeep,
I'm sitting tight as you suggested... ;-)
Any clues on the time schedule for this fix?
Currently this really hinders testing and development...
Thanks,
Olaf

I'm not sure if my problem is the same, but I originally didn't include a Logo pic for the first build. Then I did, but its not showing up in the rebuild. Am I missing something?

Works for me via the html interface. I can't get the PUT api to work though, using the Java Libs.
HttpClient client = new HttpClient();
client.getParams().setAuthenticationPreemptive(true);
Credentials defaultcreds = new UsernamePasswordCredentials("orchard@pacificspirit.com", "");
client.getState().setCredentials(AuthScope.ANY, defaultcreds);
PutMethod method = new PutMethod(request);
method.getParams().makeLenient();
StringRequestEntity stringentity = new StringRequestEntity(body);
method.setRequestEntity(stringentity);
try {
int statusCode = client.executeMethod(method);
if (statusCode != 200) {
// todo: handle error
}
String rtn = method.getResponseBodyAsString();
} catch(Exception e) {
}

There's not enough context here to tell what the error is - from your other post, it looks as though you may have been encoding the file param as a StringPart, rather than a FilePart.
We're working on a Java wrapper lib for our API that should straighten this out.

New build worked great! No old code frakking it up. Tested on iOS and Android.
