http://pgicons.abiro.com/
It's been updated to what's described here:
http://cordova.apache.org/docs/en/5.1...
The page says windows8 for the BlackBerry 10 splash screen, but apart from that I've followed what's described, except I use slightly different file names.
Please advise whether the reference information is up-to-date or not.
It also generates icons for Google Play and App Store, but right now without stripping out any transparency, which will cause problems on at least App Store, so some post processing might be needed.
If you haven't used the tool before, please read the notes.
Cheers,
Anders

@redsmurph,
which reference are you talking about pgicons.abiro.com or Cordova?
Do you have an issue (problem)? If so, it is not clear from your message.
What are you trying to do?
What have you tried?
What did not work as expect?

I'm wondering whether the page about what icons and splash screens to create is up-to-date. I posted an idea, not a problem.

@redsmurph,
your idea is not clear. You may want to edit your original post and make it clear. What is your idea?
FWIW, you may want to read:
Top Mistakes by Developers new to Cordova/Phonegap
https://github.com/jessemonroy650/top-phonegap-mistakes/blob/master/new-to-Phonegap.md
Read #2 Does not read the docs., many people are unaware there are three (3) base sets of docs.

Jesse,
The OP, Anders, is a regular, who has contributed to this community by developing and publishing tools and a Tutorial for Beginners. He not only reads the documentation, but also points to errors and publishes corrections.
He is a well respected denizen of this community, so don't you throw your Geez-I-Wished-People-Were-Cleverer post at him!

Thanks Petra.
I wasn't altogether clear though:
The choice of "Share an idea" was for lack of an Announcement category. The "idea" was that pgicons has been updated, now generating more images, and is more in-line with what's described at the provided link.
It also optimizes the images more, by removing unneeded meta data, and is more memory efficient, by deleting all intermediate images as soon as possible.
I use it heavily myself and for PGB projects only, so it made sense to announce it here.
It's happened before that the documentation hasn't been up-to-date and in sync (which it clearly isn't in this case). Cordova should be the origin (right?), but also in the past I've asked users whether the generated image dimensions are the right ones, because they haven't been. Especially not for BlackBerry 10 and Windows Phone/8/10. Windows 10 is not even mentioned.
Cheers,
Anders

@Petra and redsmurph,
No disrespect was intended. If you feel slighted, my apologizes.
However, the announcement is still unclear. VERY unclear.
#1 why was it posted?
#2 how is it useful?
#3 why is this important to developer?
My response is base on the feedback I get from an OP. At this point, it is vaguely clear to me that this was a suggestion for a service that creates icons and splash screens -- which I agree would be useful, but that is not in the POST.
Information is useful when people understand it, not when they have to ask questions to figure it out.
Best of Luck
Jesse

This tool has been announced earlier, I agree I should have re-iterated what it's about in full, but on the other hand that's pretty clear from the name and when you go to the site.
I can't edit the message anymore. Adopt, adapt, improve. Better next time etc.
Cheers,
Anders
