just tested Phonegap Build 2.0 and the following issues popped up:
iOS: icon + splash screen not working (shows default phonegap icon + splash screen)
Android: icon not working (shows default phonegap icon)
going back to Phonegap 1.7 ! solves this issues...
any other ideas or work arounds?

Same problem here, but iOS also allows landscape mode even though portrait is set only.

Hey Guys
I'm contacting the engineers to look at the issue. Meantime, please share your appid so we can take a look at it individually if that not the case.

once I renamed the file names to the standard iOS icon.png as follows in my config.xml file it started to work.
<icon src="res/icon/icon.png" width="57" height="57" />
<icon src="res/icon/icon-72.png" width="72" height="72" />
<icon src="res/icon/icon-114.png" width="114" height="114" gap:platform="ios" />
<icon src="res/icon/icon@2x.png" width="144" height="144" /> - 29 Posts

I'm also unable to get custom iOS icons working in 2.0.0 using PGB. I've tried it both with & without using a config.xml file & also attempted the step of renaming the files to the standard iOS icon filenames, but in all cases I'm getting the standard PG "plug" icon. Switching to 1.9.0 in config.xml solves the problem instantly, but leads to another set of unacceptable issues. My app ID is 182920.
On a related note, it seems that I'm not allowed to include any spaces in the iOS App Name when using 2.0.0 either. My test app is called "B Ball" in the config.xml, but renders as "BBall" on the device (iPhone 4). Again, switching to 1.9.0 resolves this issue. Looking forward to finding a solution soon!

Same issue here. Works with 1.9 but not 2.0
Also should all the ios icons include gap:platform="ios" in the icon tag or only the 114 width icon?

I've wondered this too, it's quite curious in the documentation.

Any ideas on a timescale to fix this Senior PhoneGap? It'd make us very happy, we're quite keen to try 2.0.0 with PhoneGap build.

Same here. To have icons display properly I have to revert to 1.9 for iOS, and all the way back to 1.7 for Android.

I've patched our iOS servers to fix the issue with PG 2.0.0 - please try rebuilding and see if that helps.
