I'm following a Lynda.com tutorial on PhoneGap Builder. I have successfully created the iPhone Developer certificate, and created the provisioning file and downloaded it. I dragged the file into iTunes and it copies there.
My iPhone synced. When I look in my iPhone under Settings/General, I'm told that I should see a section called Profile and the profile I just synced should show up there.
I do not see a section called Profiles in the Settings/General. Any ideas why?

Hi Carol,
Regarding the file you dragged into iTunes, is that the certificate/provisioning profile or the IPA file?

If you iOS device is running iOS v8 or later, the method of managing/installing provision profiles has changed. That UI was removed from being done on device, and is now handle solely via XCode.

Hi Chris, thanks for referring that page. I have the exact issue as Carol and just started with all of this today, so please bear with me.
After checking out that page (and trying to coincide it with your Lynda.com video), are you saying that after we verify the provisioning profile is shown within Xcode that we can proceed with your video?
Also, are there any other parts to your video that are outdated?
Thanks so much for your help.

Hi Jesse, thanks for reach out. No, I'm not anymore. It was just that that tutorial was a few years old and it no longer applied, for that specific step.

@Danelson,
Thanks for the reply. If you recall the URL for the tutorial,
could you give us the link? I will contact the author
and try to have the tutorial update or removed, or at the
very least get the URL on a list of bad tutorials.
TIA
Jesse

I wouldn't say it's a bad tutorial because it indeed was helpful, but it should just be noted that that particular step is outdated.

@Danelson,
no I would say it is a bad tutorial. It's not just dated, it's misleading.
I'll talk to Chris. I'll give him a few days to resolve the issue or
I will black list it.
Thanks for me know.
