Sigtool.set

Hello, I did a search for this but it came up with no results. I'm able to locate sigtool.db and sigtool.csk no problems, but sigtool.set is not there. I was told that this file would appear after I sign the first time, but it still didn't appear.

I appears this is a required file to compile an app for blackberry. Any work arounds?

Thanks,
Sean

All three of mine were found here:

C:\Program Files\Eclipse_Ganymede\plugins\net.rim.browser.tools.wcpc_1.5.1.201010291444-22\wcpc\bin

Assuming you're using Eclipse to sign the project.

That's exactly where the two files I have are located. No sigtool.set though. I don't get it.

That's very odd - did you receive your keys quite recently? Perhaps RIM have changed the format.

I belive the *.db file is the most important one - we might be able to get away with using a default set file for this purpose. Email me (andrew.lunny@nitobi.com) and I'll see if we can get you a default one to try out.

I also can't find my set file. Although my DB and CSK file were located here:

C:\Eclipse\plugins\net.rim.ejde\vmTools

I received my keys a few days ago.

It's looking like the *.set file is not really necessary - it just appears to be settings for the GUI tool.

If you're able to a build locally using your keys, it should autogenerate that file. I think we'll update the web frontend to not use the .set file. If you need a default one, email me.

I've updated the site to only need the db and csk files - we don't need user-specified GUI tool settings for a tool you'll never see :)
