It's been nearly a month now since Cordova 2.2.0 was released, and yet it is still not supported by PhoneGap Build.
But the most frustrating thing is the complete lack of information coming from the PhoneGap Build team.
What's the status? What's the hold up?
We understand that these things can take time and that unexpected issues can crop up but please tell us!

Sorry to say, I must agree. Can you (the Adobe Build Team) guys not even post a quick update? The last one was eight days ago, on another topic with the same question.....

I agree with this. there is a problem with contact loading on IOS6 that is fixed on 2.2 (i think) so I really need to know when this will be available in phonegap build.

You would have thought that now people have to pay for the service, that staff would be slightly more proactive in letting developers know about things like this.
I had my concerns when Adobe came into the picture - all that bloatware.
I refer to a brick wall for answers - amazingly I get more of a response.

They did reply to me on Twitter apologising saying that that they were working on it, but that's not good enough.

Tell me about it.. Dev is at a standstill waiting for the iOS fixes for permissions in the address book. Its frustrating! Seems to have got worse since it came out of beta.
So, instead of developing and testing, i'm having to waste my time on finding an alternative to Phonegap instead.

I want to give another update. We have added support to 2.2.0 but haven't completed our testing but hope to release in the next day or so.
I hear you feedback about being more timely with PhoneGap Build supporting the latest release of PG. Reducing this turn around time will be one of our highest priorities.
Thanks - Mike

Hi Mike - great news, its not just the time it takes to update build, but its more the lack of communication - we have an update from Hardeep on another topic about this, and then there is nothing for weeks. I think people get more frustrated with that than anything.
Its good news, nontheless..

Are you trying to build from Dreamweaver CS6? Please provide your preference line from your config.xml file. Also have you tried removing the preference line, it should default to 2.2.0;

I am building from Dreamweaver. This is the line from config.xml:
<preference name="phonegap-version" value="2.2.0" />
If I remove it I still get the error. If I change back to ...value="2.1.0"... all builds just fine. Made you guys screen-cast so you do not think I am crazy! Or so you can show me what I am doing wrong. :)
