When installing the PhoneGap demo application on my android phone screen remains black. No error messages.
It is a android 2.3.

When I run the emulator via Eclipse the application is correctly displayed for both Android 4 or 2.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Hey Gerardo,

Can you try disable the Hydration function from the setting page and see if it works?

Let us know

It seems Hydration doesn't play well with older android < 4. Perhaps on certain device / model but definitely not all.

Gerardo, can you detailed your android maker & model? I'll bring this up to the engineers for further investigation.

Thanks.

Im having this exact same issue, however i disabling hydration has had no impact. App works fine on ios, but the android build just delivers a blank screen. Are there any common gotcha's i should look into that anyone can suggest?

Hi Andrew

1- Ensure to exclude phonegap.xxx.js or cordova.xxx.js from your www folder.
2- Look at the logcat for possible app/OS error.
3- Try out the sample app below and see if it able to run correctly:

Hope that helps.

Thanks
