Ns7II platter is unresponsive!!!! Can't scratch!!!

I am having trouble with the left platter for my Ns7II. It won't respond so I can scratch or navigate the song. Everything works fine and all my controls are right. I did notice that my USB cord was on the carpeted floor but it wasn't damaged.

  • Hello,

Thanks for posting. I'll be happy to help!

Since the platters on the NS7 II are touch-sensitive, make sure you're properly grounded, as static electricity can effect touch and sensitivity of your platters. That being said, we recommend you avoid DJing in a highly-carpeted area. Additionally, make sure your computer is meeting the minimum system requirements for Serato DJ Intro. You can download the latest version of Serato DJ Intro by logging on to https://serato.com/dj/intro

You can run a test to make sure your platters are functioning properly by performing these steps below:

    Windows

    • Download the free program, MIDI-Ox
    • Run the MIDI OX application.
    • Select the Options menu and select MIDI Devices. Make sure to select MIDI inputs and MIDI Outputs for the MIDI controller and click OK.
    • Rotate your platter(s).
    • You will see both a Note On and Note Off message.

If you see both, this tells you that the controller is sending the MIDI message correctly and the cause of the symptoms is somewhere else.

    Mac

    • Download the free program MIDI Monitor.
    • Click on the Sources tab to view MIDI devices. Confirm that your USB/MIDI device is listed.
    • Rotate your platter(s).
    • You will see both a Note On and Note Off message.  If you see both, this tells you that the controller is sending the MIDI message correctly and the cause of the symptoms is somewhere else.

    Hope this helps!
