Nv2 keeps restarting

Long story short.
Computer: New surface pro 4. Highest specs.
Numark nvii keeps restarting ever 1-5 mins. This causes anything that’s playing on serato to stop. There is no interruption on the extra line in.
I have the newest serato and reinstalled .
I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the newest nvii driver several times.
Need this to be running ASAP! Please help!

  • Hello,

Thanks for posting. Sorry you're having issues with your NVII.

Can you please provide me with your full system specs, as well as the version of Serato DJ you're using? Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software and the drivers, as well as tried a different USB cable and port with your computer?

Is it your actual controller that is restarting? Can you confirm the specs of the power supply being used? Does this occur with another computer as well?

  • I realized this only occurs at one area! There is a 10000 watt amp at that location. When I am connected to the sound system via RCAs the controller reboots at random occasions! Typically the controller doesn’t last longer than 5-10 minutes. Any where else and any other sound system it doesn’t do this! Anywhere else I can dj for hours. The laptop used is the same, and power supply for the NVII is the stock. Any ideas as to what this could be? Are the RCAs somehow delivering power to the NVII and causing a reboot?

  • It sounds like this has something to do with the electrical current that you're using your controller on. If this only seems to happen in that one area, I would suggest using your controller in another room or under another setup where this doesn't occur.

Yeah, I mean your recommendation is a great way of avoiding the issue and I appreciate your help. Any ideas as too what I can do to deal with the issue and prevent this from happening? I mean this is an issue involving the NV2. I have tried grounding the controller with the small screw by the power input but it still no luck.
