Not Happy with Ribbon Hero 2

I was really excited to give this version of Ribbon Hero a try. I love Ribbon Hero 1 and have recommended it to everyone I know! I've even got my company's helpdesk learning Office 2010 using it! I am severly disappointed in Ribbon Hero 2.

Overall I found the program to be too disjointed. The levels are gained too easily, the point totals you earn for each task completed are way too high, the tasks are too easy even at the higher levels, and forgive me but it is just too campy.

I prefer Ribbon Hero 1 leaps and bounds over this version. I certainly hope that "update modules" for RH1 are forthcoming. I feel the program is ideal for teaching folks where commands are located and how to use the office programs. It allows you to choose the application you wish to work in and then learn more about it. None of this jumping all about.

Hi Stacy,

Thank you very much for your feedback! While we are sorry to hear you didn't enjoy Ribbon Hero 2, it is great to hear your feedback in the context of your experiences with Ribbon Hero 1.

With RH2, we had slightly different goals than RH1. While RH1 was primarily a training tool that allowed you to drill into a specific area of Office, RH2 is meant to be primarily a game that helps a player get an overall familiarity with Office. We realize both versions might not be appealing to the same audiences.

Unfortunately, we are not planning update modules for RH1 at this time. However, it is valuable for us to know that this something you would find helpful.

Thanks again for the feedback!

This generalized goal was not clear. How do I get rid of the entire Ribbon Hero 2. I don't want it. In the future, all gimmicks like this should have a clear and quick uninstall routine that is quite obvious. If you have a success, people will keep it. If it is a turkey, make it easy to get rid of.

Just uninstall it from Control Panel and then you can load Ribbon Hero 1, which is a really good program!

You should be able to uninstall RIbbon Hero 2 from the control panel. As Stacy points out Ribbon Hero v1 had a focus that was less of a game and more of training per application. That application might be better suited for your needs.

RH2 does not show up in my Control Panel list to uninstall, although it shows up in Start menu. The application file is in the Programs folder along with the support files. So how do I uninstall it? Installation failed and I want to reinstall.
