I have the same problem but I believe I have somewhat narrowed down the cause to the internet provider. I'm in Brooklyn, NY using Optimum Online internet. I cannot connect to the ooVoo website or through the ooVoo program. My friends on the west coast have no problems with ooVoo, so I tried connecting using my sprint broadband wireless card and was able to connect fine to both the website and program. Still not sure what to do at this point. It's kind of a workaround, but I don't the the sprint card's connection speed is fast enough for quality video conference, especially with multiple parties.
I'm curious as to what other regions/ISP's people are having this problem with.

Is it just the ooVoo website that's down, or is the program also not connecting for you?

I finally managed to get it working on my computer! Try changing your proxy settings.

For FIREFOX, go to Tools --> Options --> Advanced --> Network --> Settings
Then choose “Manual proxy configuration” and enter the following settings:
HTTP Proxy: 208.74.174.142
Port: 3128
SOCKS v4

For INTERNET EXPLORER, go to Tools --> Internet Options --> Connections --> LAN Settings
Then choose “Use a proxy server for your LAN” and enter the following settings:
HTTP Proxy: 208.74.174.142
Port: 3128

That may get you access to the website.

Note, these proxy changes might limit or slow down access to other websites. If you find yourself having to switch back and forth frequently, I suggest getting a proxy-managing extension from Firefox like this one: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/fire...

Hope it works!
