Features needed in Assessments

I am trying to add photos/images into my assessment questions, but not from a url. I do not see a way to do this?
Also, for teachers that need audio/video in their quizzes/tests (like a language teacher) do we have to ability to add in video or audio files into the questions?

  • An image must be uploaded to the course File Manager before it can be included in an Assessment question. We apologize for the inconvenience, Erin.

Currently you cannot embed a video or audio file in an assessment question. As you mention, this is an important feature and we plan to include it in a future release. A date for its introduction has not yet been scheduled (a conservative estimate is fall 2014), but we'll be sure to update you as we move further through the development stage.

  • Hey Erin, if you're still trying to use OpenClass to create your quizzes, you can do this. It is simple but may appear technical at first.

When you're typing in the question, let's say you want some audio. In fact, I make quizzes with no written language; just listening. What you do is type in the "tags" you see here. I can help you if that seems too technical, but really it's easy.

To put in video it's basically the same thing, google "HTML video tag" to find the correct tags. Again, I can post a screencast if you have any interest.

To repeat, you absolutely can use audio and video directly in your questions.
