javascript error on review page

javascript error on review page won't allow me to map the location and move to step 3

frustrated - I can't add any reviews unless the location shows up in the suggested addresses - if it asks me to map it, it won't let me.

I'm using Safari when I get this issue. Haven't tried it in other browsers.

Hi all, we're looking into the problem right now and need to confirm -- were you adding a new location? If so, were you able to see a map during the process? It may not map properly if the address is incorrect as well.

Yes, adding a new location. No, the map never loaded throughout the process and no exception was thrown by the interface.

The address I was attempting to input is a valid Google Maps address (46 Kingsway, Vancouver). I had tried locating it in Google Maps itself after I experienced problems with this step.

I use Firefox but I also tried it in Safari after it didn't work - didn't work in both places. I was entering the Vancouver Public Library Napier Street location and also recently was unable to add BC Place... Ourfaves won't let me add any location that isn't showing up on the suggested listings when I type in a place - as soon as it goes to the 'map it' screen I know I'm in trouble because it will never let me past there... the addresses I'm entering are correct, it's like the button at the bottom is just broken because nothing happens.

Still can't use it on Safari. My experience:

1. Typed in "Uva Wine Bar" in the first field and clicked Next Step.

2. Pop-up window displays saying "Map loaded". Location fields become visible. Google map is still grey (not displaying data).

3. Entered "900 Seymour Street" into Address. Left Intersection blank. Typed in "Vancouver" under City. Typed in the postal code in the corresponding field. Clicked Map It button.

4. Nothing happens when I click the button - no error, no action, no motion to do anything else.

We're trying to isolate the problem, and have a few more questions that may help:

1. What version of Safari are you using?
2. At what point does the javascript error occur? Only when you click on "map it" or sometime before that?

1. Safari Version 3.2.1 (5525.27.1)
2. Google map is grey and never loads from the moment it is displayed. Mousing over "map it" displays "javascript: void(())" or something like that. Clicking on the "map it" button doesn't trigger anything new.

Same - tried to enter something else and same problem persists. It says javascript:void() at bottom left of my task window when I click 'map it' so maybe that's an error message? I'm using Mozilla. I'm on a Mac - could that be part of the problem?

before clicking on map it, was the map area grey or was it properly loaded?

@TImothy: I think it's grey until I mouse over it and then it turns orange - it definitely looks like it's allowing me to click it but then nothing happens...

Hi ladies, we're trying to isolate the problem by trying to recreate what happens. It may be a browser issue, but it's difficult to tell for sure until we get the same experience.

Please let us know if this is happens again what the javascript error says or if this is something you experience every time you attempt to add a review.
