Sorry to hear you've still got that chronic problem :(

It's probably best reported on bugzilla, which will get it directly to the developers — just remember that the more detail you can give, the more likely it is we can diagnose the problem: https://develop.participatoryculture....

This same problem cropped up for me today.

The weird thing is that it was completely spontaneous. Nothing has changed on my install at all. I closed Miro, then after reopening it I got this error.

I decided It must be some config that had changed, so I uninstalled Miro, deleted the C:/Program Files/Participatory Culture Foundation/ directory, deleted the /Documents and Settings/Application Settings/Participatory Culture Foundation and /Documents and Settings/Local Settings/Application Settings/Participatory Culture Foundation directories and deleted every registry key I could find.

I reinstalled and got exactly the same error.

Is this the only place to get help with Miro? It will not open for me, and I was hoping to use it to convert files to WMV

Pls retry with 2.0.2 from http://pculture.org/nightlies/Miro-2.... and let us know if it works.

This link is broken: http://pculture.org/nightlies/Miro-2....

I can try one of the other nightlies, but Miro-2009-03-06-nightly.exe did exactly the same thing.

Miro 2.0.2 is released so you should get an update notification or download it directly from http://www.getmiro.com .

This is captured in bugzilla bug #11445.

If Miro shows in the tray, right click it and select 'show.' It should then show as being minimized. For some reason if you right click it minimized and select maximize it shows again despite the fact that clicking on it directly didn't work.

what worked for me was. Running a search for Miro in my computer. Then deleting every single file that appeared. Finally reinstalling Miro. Make sure to delete the files yourself and not rely on uninstall.
