Ripping Blu Ray disc for AppleTV 2/3 using the default setting on a Mac with Mountain Lion OS. Video playback looks perfect however there is a stutter or hiccup every few minutes. This happens continuously throughout the video and I have confirmed this with 5 other Blu Ray discs. Please advise.

Hi justenpeek, pls try keep the original frame when you use the apple tv format to convert blu-ray disc.
Do you use the latest version 3.2.1.4506?

I have used all frame rate settings (23.976, 24, 24, 30) to create clips for comparison. When the camera is panning slowly the images seem to jump across the screen at all frame rates except for 24fps. When set to 24fps the images appear smooth as the camera pans. The 24fps setting is the smoothest but the stutter every few minutes mentioned in my previous message makes the video unwatchable. The quality of the image is not the problem. The problem is the jumping frames. It seems like frames are missing.

My is now set to surpassed in stead of classic. I think I tried this a few weeks ago. I did Alos notice for regular DVD it works better with original frame rate. I am converting 1000s of films so really trying to see if can this working constantly for all as I do not always have time to check each one. Thank you again

I have been through this many times to!
I also have tried to resolve this with pavtube
They ask you to send over converted files and screen dumps of your settings, not practical if you don't have lightning speed broad band
I have wasted hours, in fact 40 trials of different set ups
The frame rate stutter may at best get fewer but overall, unless you can ignore it, it will bug you!
Normal DVDs are fine but blu ray forget it.
Just to let you I have tried it in Classic mode and surpassed, tried every fps, and reduced and increased bit rates
The problem still exists
I am very disappointed with this product and like you have a huge amount of films to rip

Hi c8cus, sorry for the trouble. Are you running blu-ray ripper for mac or iMedia converter? Have you tried to submit framerate manually?

The file is quite large it is more than 2gb that you offer on wetransfer.com but I don't have enough space on Dropbox to upload it.

Hi Any more resolutions for this? i'm having the same issues as described above. All blu-rays i've tried do this.

I'm on Blu-Ray Ripper for mac, I have the latest version.

BTW, Blu-ray–>MKV–>handbrake works fine, but too many steps. ;)

Hi leejav, thx for posting here. Are you running Blu-ray ripper for Mac v3.4.1.5027? what's your OS and what's the blu-ray you tried pls? Did you also choose the Apple TV 2/3 Dolby Digital Pass-through profile?
We may need to get a clip of the converted file for testing, pls email to macsupport@pavtube.com for more details:)
