Can I Reopen a Paypal Dispute?

I opened a dispute with someone and came to a resolution. I then closed the dispute and never received the product, how do I get my money back? Can I reopen the dispute or do I have to call the police and file a report? I have been in contact with the seller, she says she is selling the computer I bought and then will give me the money? I can't believe this, she is a total thief!!!

Hi jms-

A closed dispute cannot be reopened or escalated to a claim. Of course, as you noted, you do still have the ability to seek recourse through other avenues outside of PayPal.

I was told to close the dispute to recieve the money and never recieved it.I dont know what to do,.What action did you take?

I emailed paypal my situation, they did reopen the dispute and I did win the dispute, but I did only receive 47.50 of my 242.50 back, paypal will only refund you what the person had in their paypal account. In your case, I would email them exactly what happened and they should reopen it, I also filed a police report in their city. Good Luck.

i open a dispute just asking where my item is (been almost a month) then i get a email saying they havent even posted it! they said they wont post it till the dispute is closed. i thought about it and i really wanted this item so i closed it. now there shipping status is stuck at paused due to paypal complaint (been on that for a week) the company is called dealextreme DONT BUY FROM THERE.

Just as an aside, the same thing happened to me. I purchased something from someone on ebay (but did not go through ebay). The package never arrived and the only communication i received from the seller came via the paypal dispute. I closed the dispute in good faith after hearing from the seller and have yet to receive my package. I am hoping that, armed with the information received through the dispute, that Pay-pal will reopen the claim.

if your item delivered by them, thats fine. but if the problem happens in progress of reaching your country, i suggest dispute and or ask for refund. coz they will never resend you anything. they dont give a sh*t if the item is stolen half way. who would anyway? so... yup, just ask for refund straight away. no matter how much u want your item.

I have disputed an item, because I didn't receive an item. I paid 150$ (100% upfront) for Website(powered by wordpress)theme services, and I never got them. I disputed an item on Paypal and the seller responded and asked me to close the dispute so he will be able to refund within 7 days. We agreed he will return the money, and I closed the dispute. Big mistake. That never happened and it is now already 2 weeks and the seller didn't return my money. Now I can't reopen the dispute. What can I do? I have contacted PayPal, but they responed that once the dispute is closed it cannot be reopened. So PayPal doesn't give a shit, they will not support me and reopen it.
WHAT CAN I DO? :(

Paypal doesnt have any interes about their customers :(
