Unauthorized Account Use Claim was wrongfully denied!!

  • Updated 5 months ago
My account was compromised and Paypal's response was, "we have completed our investigastion of your case and, as there is insufficient evidence in support of your claim, we have denied your Unauthorized Account Use Claim." I have no desire to ever use Paypal again, but my issue is that the only way Paypal states I can remove the limitations on my account is to reimburse a chargeback. I have no intention to reimburse a chargeback because I didn't purchase anything to produce a chargeback in the first place. I just want to close my account. My account was compromised and Paypal is unwilling to help!

Hi Afr0dite-

There are some details here that need to be looked into further. Are you saying that someone collected funds through your PayPal account and then a buyer disputed a transaction? Or that someone used your account to buy something? You mention that you'd have to reimburse a chargeback to lift a limitation, but don't mention if documentation provided was insufficient or if documentation wasn't provided during a requested window of time.

You can email me directly at paypaljason@ebay.com with your first name, last name and email address on the impacted PayPal account, but I need to have a better understanding of what occurred in order to direct your concern to the right team.

Thanks,
PayPal Jason

Have you gotten any satisfaction with this issue yet? I am hoping that this site will help with my similar paypal issue. I also got a reply from Jason and I'm hopeful that he will help.
