Would it affect our analysis and reports if we are using different email addresses for the same student in entry, mid and exit surveys?

For the survey invitation distribution list, would it affect the analysis and report if we are using different email addresses for the same student in entry, mid and exit survey respectively? Do you conduct cross-analysis or compare results between different surveys by individual email address?

  • Great question!

Yes, we typically use the student email address as the unique identifier to conduct case-level gap analysis across the MBA Lifecycle Surveys (e.g., comparing ratings of identical measure such as student loyalty from midterm to exit to alumni).

However, if you need to use a different email address for the same student within different MBA Lifecycle surveys (using a personal address for Entry and school-branded address for Exit, for example), then we can simply request a ‘linkage’ spreadsheet from you that pairs the personal address with the school-branded address. This will allow us to match up student responses on the case-level (as opposed to aggregate level).

We provide case-level gap analysis as an optional Dean’s Dashboard reporting add-on for schools that participate in multiple MBA Lifecycle surveys.
